Marketing For Growth

Business growth is evident in the marketing in marketing growthManatee and Sarasota Counties in the last few months. For the established business good practices need to stay in place and for the upstarts it’s imperative to set your standards and goals before you get that first client. While building your business revisit how you do business, find any chinks in the links and do what it takes to correct the shortfalls.  Good business will morph automatically into great business.

Here are some helps,

DEVELOP
Have a plan! King Solomon said, “A people without a vision will perish”. Start with building a marketing plan for your business.
Who is your client? Brand a message targeted to YOUR client.
What is your client searching for? Present your message in a way that is clear, concise and genuine. Where is your client? How can they be reached? Tweeting, Facebook and E-mails won’t hit the elderly as well as the 20 something’s so target your message to reach YOUR client directly!

DESIGN/BRANDING
A friend of mine recently said, “I re-brand myself every five years”.  This is great for the mover and shaker but what about a company that wants folks to know that you are stable and will be here for them if they need your service. Everything that you do must present a consistent image. Think of the “Golden Arches” – Like it or not, you know exactly what to expect when you see that sign, advertisement or product. What lengths will you go to in building and keeping that client through the years?

DEPLOY
Now that you know who your client is and have an ethical and deliberate operation in place continue to be in contact after a service is rendered. Go that extra mile to make sure the client received all that was promised. Thank them for choosing you to fill the need that your business provides. John Maxwell, a great leadership guru says it this way. “People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care.” If your client knows their best interest is on the forefront of your mind, there is a big change you will keep that client for a long time.
